Tumblers Win High for Deerness Gymnastics Academy – Sky Tyne and Wear

Deerness Gymnastics Academy are celebrating after their young tumblers won 8 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals at the north east tumbling NDP (National Development Plan) Championship which took place at Temple Park, South Shields at the end of March.

The 8 gymnasts who won Gold medals will now go on to represent the club and the region in the NDP National Finals in June as Regional Champions.

Eve Coates – Nat 3 11/12, Megan Pattinson – Nat 4 9/10, James Richardson – Nat 2 9/10, Jess Lacson – Nat 2 11/12, Hope Rackstraw – Nat 4 13+, Erin Stone – Nat 5 13/14, Rebekah Pattinson – Nat 5 15+, Casey Coxon – Nat 6 13/14

Silver medallists:
Leah Herdman – Nat 2 9/10, Jenny Lawson – Nat 2 11/12, Rebecca Temperley – Nat 3 13+, Charlotte March – Nat 4 11/12, Rebecca Dixon – Nat 5 15+, Jessica Vaughan – Nat 6 13+

Bronze medallists:
Quinn Young – Nat 1 9/10, Megan Young – Nat 2 11/12, Josh McAleese – Nat 3 13+, Courtney Hodgson – Nat 4 13+, Olivia McFarlane – Nat 5 13/14

Deerness Gymnastics Academy was recently named as Tumbling Club of the Year in the North of England Gymnastics Awards.
