EIGHT Deerness Gymnastics Academy acrobats will compete on the national stage in Stoke today

EIGHT Deerness Gymnastics Academy acrobats will compete on the national stage in Stoke today – after claiming gold medals in the regional final.

Thirteen-year-olds Evie Field and Jenny Lawson are joined by Jennifer Murphy 9 in the Grade 4 women’s group, while a new pairing of Luke Neil 14 and Sam Harrison 9 are through in the Grade 4 men’s pair in their first competition together.

Rachel Graham 14, Amber Robertson 15 and Tatiana Dubov 10 won national gold at the grade below last year, and they are aiming to land the Grade 5 women’s group.

Clubmates Kaira Farrier and Santiago Dubov also qualified to compete, but injuries have forced them to withdraw.
