At a recent floor competition at Deerness Valley Gym Club, 43 gymnasts ranging from four to 10 years old represented the club, and returned with no fewer than 32 medals.
The club also took part in the regional Prep Grade Competition, and three of its acro partnerships came away with gold medals.
Sue added: “We are delighted with the way things are going, but there is still a lot of hard work ahead.”
The self-funding club is planning to hold a massive international event at Temple Park later this year.

The Chairman of Durham County Council has presented a much-needed cash windfall to a North East charity.
As his year in office nears an end, Cllr Mac Williams JP, has this week handed over cheques to both of his chosen charities.

Deerness Valley Gymnastic Club
Description
We are a club of around 200 members with children from 4 years to 22 years of age.
There are regional, national, international, european and world champions at the club along with those aspiring champions.
Its a safe welcoming and encouraging environment for all children of all abilities whilst allowing every child to build their self confidence, skill and ultimately reach their own potential.
We need to save this club from council closure as it is a unique club which the region should be proud of.
