About Us « Deerness Valley UK Online Centre’s Blog
Situated in Ushaw Moor, approximately 3 miles from Durham City, Deerness Valley UK Online Centre is a community run IT suite. Based in Durham Community Business College, the centre was officially opened to the public on 25th February 2002, by the County Councillor William Firby.
Anyone, from the age of 11, can register, which then gives them access to one of the 24 available computers, all of which are Internet ready. Users of the centre can complete Job Search, upgrade CV’s etc or join in one of our courses or events held at the centre or even just to surf the Web. 11 – 16 year olds can attend the centre straight afterschool to complete homework.
